Two Dead Wives by Adele Parks

I had so much fun reading this book and trying to figure out what the conclusion was going to be. I was surprised a few times throughout and enjoyed the tension. I really love seeing the police procedural aspect and DC Clements stood out as multi-layered and a great person to have on your team. This was such a strong book and I’m grateful to @htpbooks @_mira_books_ for sending it!  Synopsis: It’s a case that has gripped a nation: A woman with a shocking secret is missing, presumed dead. And her two husbands are suspects in her murder. DCI Clements knows the dark side of human nature and that love can make people do treacherous things. You can’t presume anything when it comes to crimes of the heart. Until a body is found, this scandalous and sad case remains wide open. But their reclusive life is about to be shattered. How are...

Perfect Little Lives

Perfect Little Lives is filled with drama and tension. I love that it was a mystery with romance mixed in. People behaving badly over secrets isn’t anything new but the way this was written is! The voice is incredibly strong and the dialogue felt real. This was very enjoyable.

Berkley Rom-Coms

A romance novel with action? This is a sub-genre I had no idea I would enjoy as much as I did. Raiders of the Lost Heart plays on the big adventure movies and does it in a way that the entire story feels fresh. Enemies to lovers is another trope that plays out. Corrie and Ford have great chemistry and their rivalry sets the tone for how hard they fall. This was a really enjoyable read.  Housebroke by Jaci Burton pairs a millionaire and a woman just trying to get by. Dogs are heavily featured in this so if that’s not something you are interested in, keep that in mind. This was a fast read, one that needs a bit of suspension of disbelief. Linc was a great character and he matched well with Hazel.
