End Of Story- Kylie Scott




 End of Story by Kylie Scott is a unique and fun story. This started out strong and stayed that way through out. I loved the idea of the mysticism and seeing the direction in whichScott was going to go. The ex’s best friend trope was chef’s kiss and the steam level was perfect. End of Story was very satisfying.

  A romance novel with action? This is a sub-genre I had no idea I would enjoy as much as I did. Raiders of the Lost Heart plays on the big adventure movies and does it in a way that the entire story feels fresh. Enemies to lovers is another trope that plays out. Corrie and Ford have great chemistry and their rivalry sets the tone for how hard they fall. This was a really enjoyable read.  Housebroke by Jaci Burton pairs a millionaire and a woman just trying to get by. Dogs are heavily featured in this so if that’s not something you are interested in, keep that in mind. This was a fast read, one that needs a bit of suspension of disbelief. Linc was a great character and he matched well with Hazel.

Good Rich People by Eliza Jane Brazier

  Good Rich People by Eliza Jean Brazier is a really powerful book. The writing is compelling, lyrical and extremely thought provoking. Lyla, Demi and Graham are not good people yet I couldn’t stop reading about them. I would have loved to hear more about Graham’s past but even without that, Good Rich People has good substance and the satire is hilarious.

I Love When You Lie- Kristen Bird

  I Love it When You Lie by Kristen Bird is a Southern mystery where a family will do anything to protect each other. I loved how complicated these women were. They each had their own issues and getting to see their inner thoughts as they dealt with them was fascinating. There was no black and white here, rather many instances of gray. I enjoyed the writing and how humor was interspersed throughout. I wouldn’t call this a mystery, as much as women’s fiction.
